Headteacher's Welcome
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to St Pancras
Catholic Primary school. We hope you find our website clear and informative. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our pupils and the quality
education we deliver. I am delighted to be the Headteacher of St Pancras Catholic School
and I am fully committed to the St Pancras community and will endeavour to ensure that the school serves our local children and their families exceptionally well.
At St Pancras we are a worshipping community with Christ at its centre, nurturing spiritual
growth for all. The Gospel values of love, compassion and respect for others are central to the ethos and work of the school. We are very much part of the parish of St Pancras and we attach great importance to the close partnership that exists between home, school and our parish. We share the Word of the Lord; we worship together and give witness to our faith as a distinctive Catholic school.
We honour the full contribution to school life that parents and carers make, valuing
their views and support in order to provide the very best opportunities for all children. We
value the support offered by Father Jonathan, our parish priest. Together, we ensure that St.Pancras remains a very special place.
St Pancras is a diverse and creative community, where every individual is cherished,
talents are nurtured and excellence prevails. Our aim is to provide the highest quality
education for all in a caring, supportive, vibrant and inclusive learning environment. Our
values support us in developing the calm, respectful and collaborative community that is
evident across the school. We offer an exciting curriculum where both staff and pupils
work together to ensure high quality teaching and learning opportunities. The Arts play a
key role in giving every St Pancras child a vital channel for self-expression, and we provide
a wealth of opportunities for children to discover, explore and extend their natural
talents. We believe that resilience, self-discipline, honesty, courage, a love of life and
kindness are the characteristics of good learners; we strive to embed and celebrate these
characteristics. As a school, we are fully committed to developing each child’s unique, God
given potential within a secure and caring environment. We believe that our children
should not only reach their best academically, but also develop a thirst for knowledge and
a love of lifelong learning.
We are very proud of our family atmosphere and we strive to not only provide the highest
quality of education, but also help our children become happy, successful and fulfilled
global citizens in our ever evolving, diverse and multi-cultural world.
If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit. The children of St Pancras thoroughly enjoy talking about and sharing their achievements and our successes.
To learn is to live!
